First day out with TRG-42, setup with your help!

Thanks guys. After months and months of researching the best setup for my needs, and asking lots of stupid, stupid questions...I have my long-range setup complete and took it out today for the first time. I put 13 rounds down the tube.

Rifle: Sako TRG 42 in .338LM (older 1:12 twist), Sako Bipod, Sako Break, NEAR Base, NEAR Alpha Rings, Nightforce 5-22.5 (MLR, Zero Stop).

Ammo was factory Hornady 250GR.

Best 3shot group @200 yards: 0.75 inches
Wort 3shot group @200 yards: 3.50 inches

Main lessons:
1) This Sako break is unbelievable. It kicks less than my .308.
2) This rifle, with the Sako break, will earn you no friends with the people at the benches next to you (concussive blast 'felt in chest')

My AWSM with the AI break is the same way on the range. Great for you shooting. But everyone beside you will hate you.

I've had people beside me and stop shooting and ask me to let them know when I am done. Its AWESOME !!

The recoil perks up quite a bit when you use 300gr pills. Not unmanageable, but certainly a new level.

I have an older, 1:12 twist barrel so I'm staying with the 250 grain pills!

My TRG is also 1:12, and handles the 300smk right nice, down to at least 0ft DA....

...if you decide to give them a whirl...

At what altitude are you shooting the 300 gr?
Curious if it will work at sealevel because my TRG also has the older 1:12 twist.

750ft ASL, but I've done it on cold high baro days where my Kestrel indicated 0' Density Altitude or less.
