F T/R Competition First match to 1000

[Shoots 700's]

I shot my first F class match at Quantico yesterday and had a blast. I had never had the chance to shoot past 500 yards before.

I took my stock Remington 700 5R with Leupold Mark 4 6.5x20 and some handloads. I was able to shoot a score of 455 with 3X.

I need more shooting time and will try another match soon.

Crazy what happens beyond 900 yards. Think you are doing great at 800,900 then you get humbled at 1000. good luck

great start and nice score on a tiny target. Keep it up bud.
Usually, if you add the points lost at 800 and 900 it will come to right about the loss at 1000. So I was told by High masters.

Yep, you are hooked. You will be shooting in the 500's very soon. Those X's feel nice at a 1000 yds.
