I have a M1A and a DPMS lt 308 that I shoot 4 to 600 yards but been thing of going out to 1000 been looking at the 300 rum or shoot I bite the bullet go with the 338 lapua

go for the gold and get the 338LM

That way when you want to go to 1500 you can! lol

a 300 winchester will get you to 1500yds. A 7mm WSM will do it with alot less recoil , lighter weapon and less powder to burn

Between the two you mentioned I'd get the 338 Lapua.

TRG 42 and be done with it, ether 300wm or 338LM.

Go for a .308 bolt unless you have some place you can regularly shoot over 1200.

Depends on who built it. Marines use an A3. All depends on if it shoots,could always make it a 338 Edge after you burn up that barrel.
