A couple years ago when I received my new pack, I took out of the shipping container, loaded it up, and started wearing it.
After hiking around elk hunting the past few days, I decided that it didn't fit as well as it might, and I found this tutorial at the manufacturers website. While its not all inclusive, it should help some with distributing the weight a little better, and assist in your comfort of packing a load.
