Flash Hider vs Compensator for QD suppressor mount.

Hello All! New Precision Shooter here.

Are QD flash hiders detrimental to accuracy compared to QD muzzle brakes when used with a can?

I am running a DA Nox on my 18” 5.56 SPR. The rifle is always suppressed w/ my Nomad TI XC. Should I switch to the DA comp?

I know direct thread would be optimal for precision, but I want to be able to move this can between rifles.

Most people get smaller groups shooting suppressed. As long as the lockup is consistent, shouldn't matter how you attach.

I don't do a whole lot of suppressed shooting, but from what I've seen, flash hider or comp doesn't make much difference as long as the lock up is good. If comparing the two, you have to be sure to be comparing apples to apples. Like mounting methods and manufacturers.

What has been a topic of some discussion is the use of a comp, rather than a flash hider, is that the comp serves as a sacrificial baffle, theoretically extending the life of your suppressor.

It’s more conditional to concentric barrel threads with a square shoulder (thread tenon concentricity relative to the bore), precision-machining of the muzzle device and how concentric its threads and bore are, along with how uniform and symmetrical its mass is relative to the barrel and bore.

Once you depart from that bore line with alignment, things go astray.

Muzzle torque can affect it too. I prefer minimal or no torque.
