I have a surefire 6px pro.
I'm wanting something brighter.
I'd like it to be about the same size.
It needs to be able to take a beating.
Under $100.

Not wanting just a small step up.
I want it to be a good bit brighter

6px pro is 320 lumens correct?

PD35 = 960 lumens
HL-X = 1000 lumens
EDCL2-T = 1200 lumens

Don't have experience with the 6px pro to do a side by side comparison, and they'll all be subjectively different from each other (throw vs spill), but yes, any of them should be a significant and noticeable improvement. Forgot to ask, what's your intended use?

Have been carrying a PD35 almost daily for a couple years now and have been happy. If it was for duty carry I'd probably opt for Surefire, but for EDC civilian uses any of them work just fine.

Would recommend picking up a rechargeable 18650 battery as you'll burn through 123's rather quickly depending on usage

Good question and honestly can't comment much beyond what I've read on the interwebs. Word seems to be that lithium primaries do better than rechargeables in extreme cold... So if you're planning on leaving one in the truck the majority of the time I'd probably go 2x123, however with on-body carry being my best standard the 18650s work just fine.

Might throw two of my PD35s in the freezer this weekend and do some experimenting
