IDK who else lives here in Florida, but I just got done working some BIG fires here in the state (Naples an Nassau) and I have a bad feeling we are either going to have another year like 98. No rain, KBDI is high, and with no rain in the upcoming future it could very well be the year we see Florida as a cloud of smoke.

    boy, i hope not...
it is very arid this year, lakes are small down, but it really isnt too dry for this time of the year...maybe a little better than normal matter of fact...
i,m in citrus park and odessa area...
first i heard of the fires in your area, hope it gets better soon and i,m going to keep an eye out...i still am able to get my burn permits, so things in our area are not too bad...

My sister and BIL live in Naples, I'm reaching out now! Thanks for the heads-up.''

---Just talked to them, they're about 5 miles away, and not affected. Except from some smoke. About a month ago though, things were worse for them. Falling ash and partially burnt vegetation around them, when walking the dogs... made for things 'interesting'.

Hope you guys get ample rain and are safe . Your in my prayers . And at the same time I wonder why Chicago and Detroit can't get droughts like this where shit just bursts into flames . Problem solved .

Governor declared a state of emergency, and fires just wont stop popping. We got the Okefenokee burning just to the west of me, and I spent 8 hours in my dozer Tuesday battling one that was throwing spots a good clip away and making crown runs

Got a feeling my summer is going to be spent wearing out the seat of my J Deere 650
