Fluted cut rifled bbls

Muller Works cut rifled bbl Remington Varmint contour.224, and I ordered it to be fluted with six straight flutes. Is this a bad idea? Will it alter the inner dimensions?

If mueller is going to flute it I wouldn’t worry.

You'd have to flute pretty darn deep to worry about messing anything up. You'll be fine man.

Well, as it was fluted after it was stress relieved by the blank manufacturer...so what do you think?

Greg at SPR does fine work from everything that I've seen. He certainly has enough experience fluting barrels that you needn't be concerned.

I purchased several fluted barrels from SPR. They are perfect.

I think fluting button barrels is a concern to some.

Greg has fluted several barrels for me , done at the time of chambering. They hammer. Dont worry about it.
