Fluting a rem varmint

How much weight can be removed from a rem varmint contour?

It's a 9 twist 7mm barrel that is 29 inches long right now. Was looking to flute and cut it back to 26 inches.

Anyone have a rough idea what fluting can remove (spiral for max reduction)?

What will cutting 3 inches off give me? What about 5?

Chambering won't remove a lot of weight but it will remove some as well.

Trying to meet my 10lb goal with rifle alone.

I just had one built and with a rem varmint barrel with 6 heavy flutes. This rifle, with a barrel @ 23" in length, a manners stock in the elite tactical layup, including the seekins Medium rings, a TBAC break and the adjustable cheek rest, BT17 rail, NO glass and NO mag, comes in at 10.3 lbs. Obviously there are some things I cannot take of to get the actual weight but you get the picture.
