FN A1 SPR question1

Re: FN A1 SPR question1

If it were me and I didn't know what I needed to know I would research it. Maybe find one or two at the range etc.

Works for me.

The last thing I would do is make a decision based on input from here (unless you have ID'd the few consistent and reliable sources of info). You will get all kinds of feedback much of the time based on feelings and insecurities.

Re: FN A1 SPR question1

They had an issue with the chrome lining flaking off in the bore on the earlier models (apparently has been fixed since).

I do not know the serial number range.

I would investigate further if I were you.

These were rifles in the 16,000 range.

If yours has this issue, FN will replace the rifle.

Re: FN A1 SPR question1

Make sure it feeds right. I sent one back to FN three times and they never were able to fix the rifle's failure to feed rounds coming out of the left side of the magazine. They eventually replaced the rifle.

Re: FN A1 SPR question1

I have one and have been happy so far and for that price I bet you will be as well.

I would still like to build one exactly like I want it but for the price mine has been a pretty solid starter.
