A buddy of mine has an FN PBR in .308. He is looking for a couple extra magazines for it. He said he wants to get a 10 round mag is possible. I have tried searching and could not come up with anything. Does anyone know if there is a 10 round mag that will fit the factory bottom metal? I told him I thought he might have to switch to a different dbm and use an AICS mag.

I believe there has been talk of FN coming out with a 10 round magazine, but I do not believe it exists at this time.
I'm told CDI is the way to go if you're looking for a change.

I was in the same predicament as your buddy. I have a PBR and could only find 4 round mags for $50-$55. Sent my rifle to CDI and got a 5 round AICS mag and a 10 round Alpha mag. I would say, tell your buddy do the same.

FN has been talking about making a ten round mag for more than 4 years now.
Still nothing...
The CDI solution is a great way to go, the only down side is the cost of not only the bottom metal, but also to have the reciever & Stock milled to accept the AICS mags and then to have everything bedded.
I've decided to try and make my own 10 round mag this winter by adding a section of magazine from a M14 to an OEM 4 round.
Already made up the CAD drawings, just need to perfect the follower and spring.
If anyone is interested in donating parts to the cause, I'm looking for:
- Doner 308 mag (FNAR, M14 / M1A, or FN FAL)
- Spings from old POS 50 round Buttler Creek 10/22 magazines.
- Doner FN SPR / PBR magazine
I plan on posting a "how to" thread when complete.

If it's any consolation three FNH USA reps were at the September ASC match shooting their personal rifles, or possibly company guns, but all three rifles had FN's new detachable magazine assembly. From what we were being told the new DBM assemblies were going on new FN's later this year which could be rep-speak for SHOT Show but they do exist and will be going on guns. They said if there are enough requests they would eventually offer the new DBM system as a separate part for drop in upgrades to FN's that are in the system all ready. They had five and ten rounders in their hands at the match and the ambidextrous mag release was pretty good. All in all I thought it looked good and was well thought out as far as a factory DBM assembly goes.
