Folks here are having bonfires and partying.

Gotta be careful with situations like this. Yeah, we all should be maintaining "social distancing" right now, but we're social creatures and denying people of this basic need is gonna create some ugliness later (especially when everyone starts running out of their favorite chemical substances - prescribed and otherwise).

The social relationships formed with neighbors right now might come in handy when things get truly weird in another month or two.

I'll be hanging with the neighbor quite a bit over the coming weeks... we'll have our own beer supply, and won't share, but it's still pretty cold up here in WNY, so we can't exactly go to the beaches. Fishing is tough this time of year too... fingers freeze up and its tough to tie knots. Sooooo, that leaves beer and bonfire pits.

I mean, how else do you pass the time for 8 weeks give or take? I can only reload so much ammo... and the ranges around are all closed (not sure who's enforcing that, or why, since it's usually pretty isolated). House projects are done, wife works at the county hospital (so she's still reporting), walking the dogs more than normal is great, but still not a long term solution.

I mean, I've already been spending too much $$$ here... so I gotta get outta the house and stop looking at the PX!

Mornin neighbor. Sunshine in the immediate southern tier. Looks to be a nice day. Temps expected to rise drop rise drop....typical early spring setup.

Very nice Carlos! I'm up in Lancaster, but my mom's family is from Salamanca, so I've spent a lot of time down there (still have lots of family down there)... Looks like you've got a nice setup.

Going to be a nice day for walking the dogs and working from my front porch on the laptop for a few minutes. Still chilly, only 35F here. If the wife gets permission to work remote, we're headed to FL to stay with the in-laws. At least I can social distance myself on a boat with a rod in hand down there!

This was on my phone news feed this morning. It’s true about all of the beaches here. People are already bored with no work or school and are packing the beaches.

Flaming brush and grass... Meet petrol storage tanks...

This is how the caseload of the virus exploded in Italy. Young adults partying, socializing, and contracting COVID-19 through community spread. Many of them do not even show symptoms but are still able to pass the virus on to others. Couple that with the fact that just like the Chinese, Italians are extremely doting on their elders and many live with their elderly parents/grandparents, which is why the death toll has been so high in these two countries...

Hello to Lancaster. Used to work out that way! Little town getting big!

Well right now, despite many states mandating "no groups over x amount of people", the authorities are doing very little (nothing) to enforce.

That will change...
