Looking to do a form 1 .30 cal while I wait. Very happy with the quiet bore 22 but their .30 is 2 lbs. Looking for experience with other "kits" that shed some weight but sound good or the best balance there of. I know nothing is going to be an ultra 7 but whats decent while I wait.

I built one a few months ago. It’s a 9” SDTA titanium tube and end caps, 5 titanium and 2 stainless steel cones from super precision concepts, and all spacers are titanium from diversified machine. It comes in at 15.2 oz. the sound reduction is hearing safe, I don’t have any other suppressors to compare it to so I don’t really know how it stacks up agains a commercial can.

Awesome, what kind of price range is that?

All in all I’ve got about $450 in the suppressor then the obvious $200 tax stamp, but the wait was only 28 days to get approval. It shoots well enough for me. It’s held a hair under MOA out to 600 yards with factory ammo so it hasn’t effected accuracy in any measurable amount.

Do you see much poi shift in yours? Are those 1.355 components? Which caliber have to shot it on? Safe on a 300WM?

So POI shift was 1/2mil straight down, no left or right. I Duel hybrid clipped the baffles And it seemed to work as far as minimizing linear POI shift.

Yes, it is a 1.5” O.D. With a 1.355 I.D.

I’ve shot 22lr, 5.56 nato, 300 blackout, 6.5 grendel, and 6.5 creedmoor. All calibers aside from the 6.5 creedmoor were fired from an AR15, 6.5 creedmoor was fired from a bolt action. The sound reduction was great on all calibers.

All the parts I ordered are 300 win mag rated so I assume it would be good. I don’t have a 300 win mag to test it in though.

I’ve got 300WM rated components but have seen others say no way, the diameter needs to be bigger.

Yeah, for better sound reduction bigger is obviously better. I don’t know what kind of pressure a 300WM has at the muzzle but if the components are rated for it I would think it would be fine. But to be honest I’m not sure I want to gamble my suppressor on it. Lol.

Its not necessarily the internal components that need to be mag rated. The tube is as much, if not more important in the equation. End cap threading not sufficient? Can becomes can launcher. Tube material sub par? Wasnt it Elmer Fudd whose rifle always blew out at the end? There are pipe burst calculators out there if you want to check it out. Theres a few choices out there for a reasonable weight, magnum safe, F1 can.
