Hi all, just to let you all know that I submiteed a form 4 on Aug 20th and got it back last week. I am in SC and used the trust system because my sheriff would not sign it. Also, I got an AAC 7.62 SD from a stocking dealer. SWEEEETTTTTT

So, there is hope for you all that are waiting!

Re: Form 4 less than 60 days!

That's great news, congrats! I'm in Charleston for work for the next few months, send me a PM and let me know if you're heading out to do some shooting.

I met up with STRICK.9 on here, he lives in Mt. Pleasant and has been pretty helpful. I have a place there as well, I'm itching to go shoot somewhere.

Re: Form 4 less than 60 days!

just stopped at my dealer today and they got a batch back and they said they were almost exactly 8 weeks. Mine hits the mailbox tomorrow!

Re: Form 4 less than 60 days!

Glad to hear it- my paperwork for a Liberty Shoofly was approved on July 31 and never showed up- so I'm still waiting on a can from mid APRIL. I've submitted a request for another copy, we'll see.

But, I'm just starting on the process for an SAS Arbiter, so maybe I'll get lucky like you on that one.

Re: Form 4 less than 60 days!

I had to do same thing Jamie on last can, reviewer had to send another certified copy. He said it must have gotten lost in mail you should call yours.

Re: Form 4 less than 60 days!

My dealer said he's never seen that before, but I guess it has to happen occasionally. What did they do, make a photocopy of your remaining form and put a stamp on it?

Re: Form 4 less than 60 days!

Will do. I've already shot it on a 10/22, it's a quiet can and is the same diameter as a heavy barrel. The only thing I don't like is the length, but I guess that's why it's quiet. It's not a big deal on a rifle, but will look a little odd on a pistol. A friend has an AAC, I'll compare them on a rifle and a pistol once I get it.

This can came off the prize table at the last Practical Marksman's Challenge, I think David donated four .22 cans. He's a good guy that supports the shooters.

bohem, the only range that I know of in Charleston area is Twin Pond rifle range. They just shut it down due to some ahole shot off the sign or something like it. But I will let you know when I can find some other place to shooot.

Yeah, I heard that too. Some jackasses took a bunch of old appliances and trash out there one night and shot the hell out of it and then left the range is huge mess.

Sucks, I'm used to 2 private clubs back home. Stuff like that RARELY happens

They have definately slowed down noticeably, it really depends on what examiner you get as well.

Re: Form 4 less than 60 days!

I guess this must have been one of the, "I'll grab a stack of applications" and the next one that was process was yours. Seems there are always some people waiting longer then others. There is no order in the governments madness.

Braggart!! LOL.. Wished I would have purchased mine from you...

Re: Form 4 less than 60 days!

Didn't do a thing, just file the form and wait. My dealer said that a trust is quicker than traditional way. I don't now how true it is but in my case it was about 11 months quicker using the trust. And that is how I am going to do it from now on.

Re: Form 4 less than 60 days!

Is it slower if you have never appllied for one before VS. you have purchase cans in the past. You would think since a person has bought these types of things in the past. The order would go at a much faster rate. Maybe not.

From what they say, it makes no difference.

Re: Form 4 less than 60 days!

Talked to Nicole at NFA today on form 4's for two cans. Both submitted in mid August two weeks apart. The first one submitted is pending. The second was approved mid October and should be to the dealer this week. Apparently two different reviewers.

I might add that Nicole was very pleasant and professional to deal with. All in all it looks like about a total of 10/12 weeks for the apprived one.
