Anyone else looking? I live in the "search area" and have been studying the poem for about a year. I have a couple ideas on a solve or at least a start.

    What 'cha got?

The tone is Faustian.....Could the treasure be cursed?

"There's a $2 million treasure hidden somewhere in the Rockies — and at least 4 people have died looking for it"

And if you need more temptation.

"Fenn says he stuffed a 10-by-10-by-6-inch Romanesque chest with some of the finest treasures he’d acquired over the years — pre-Columbian jewelry, gold nuggets the size of chicken eggs, ancient jade carvings, emeralds, diamonds"

“265 gold coins, hundreds of gold nuggets, hundreds of rubies, eight emeralds, two Ceylon sapphires, many diamonds, two ancient Chinese jade carvings, pre-Columbian gold bracelets and fetishes, and more.”

A mark on a tree where the bark has been removed with an axe or hatchet.

That is not it, you have to read his books, he explains a lot more, there is no straight up answer it's clues to be solved.

The best explanation of a BLAZE is, looking south to the sun, something described in the book about Lewis & Clark. It's giving direction in reference to the creek you have to follow. Keeping the creek to your left, looking south

It's woven into his books, you have to study his influences and history to figure it out.

if it was as easy as a mark on a tree anyone could find it.

Maybe everyone is over thinking it and it is as simple as a mark on a tree. Seems to me the hard part is finding the creek, but that could be narrowed down easily. All creeks get warmer as they flow south except those whose temperature is already higher than the water to the south.

I just need to know what the blaze is ... I have it nailed down pretty good

Hot springs? The sunrise or sunset on a particular day might be the blaze. The day could have historic or celestial importance. Do we know what day or range of days he placed the chest? The "Blaze" may only appear on a rock face during this day for example

"The Blaze" could be a rock formation colored red and orange that looks like flames.

Watch someone find the box and inside it has a note that says "April fools or gotcha.

Having read the poem for the first time 3 days ago, here is my take.

    1. Located on public ground.

    2. Located near a town or place that has naturally occuring hot water.

    3. More than likely, Brown is the name of a fish and not a person.

    4. You proceed downstream from entry point.

    5. A tree that has been marked by man or nature is what you are looking for.

    6. He was very familiar with this location and wrote the poem before he buried the treasure.

    7. He was an old man, go downstream heavy and paddle upstream light. And a short distance.

    8. Anyone putting themselves in danger in search for the treasure doesn't have a clue.

Instead of reading books about Lewis and Clark, I would study the man. What were his hobbies? Did he like to fly fish? Where did he vacation?

Having said all of this, there is a place in Wyoming that immediately comes to mind.

Frank already found it; he used Alien technology to track the Bigfoot that guarded the final approach to the treasure. He is just messing with you guys, pretending he is still thinking about it.

How else did he fund this assume new site?

Not in a cemetery, so look for a grave site, burial ground or a place named graveyard, monument, tombstone, headstone, coffin, or cemetery rock, ridge etc, etc ....

Upon further research, my cousin who has followed this, stated Fenn gave an interview once where he stated that he left his house , buried the treasure and was back home within 8 hours. Allowing for two hours of treasure time, that would put it within a 3 hour radius of Santa Fe. So many conflicting reports. My guess would be between Thermopolis and Wind River Canyon. Using the poem only.

Was gonna post this up yesterday but fell asleep since I'm getting up too fucking early now.

Now I want the fucking solve after spending four + years "searching". I did one BOTG search near Sand Dunes Natl. Monument and Poncha Springs. Poncha Springs is near a Cleveland Mountain. I made that my "Home of Brown", The Browns, and Poncha Springs had been capped and piped to another area that was better suited for "tourist" iirc. That would be my "Where warm waters halt". And the Sand Dunes was also a "Where warm waters halt" as in the sand is the largest "beach" in the Rocky Mountain region and my theory was that "Where warm waters halt" was where the ocean (warm waters) halted. Rivers and lakes being "cold waters".

I shared my solves with Frank a few months ago when we were shooting. I'm pretty sure he then shared that "with someone from back East" in order to skirt my share of the treasure when they found it. Thanks Frank. :geek:

PS: I had another solve for Hanging Lake and Glenwood Springs but I really couldn't work it out. I was focused on Colorado due to living here and my ability to go BOTG fairy easily. I thought Yellowstone and NM to be too obvious. REALLY want to know the solve. Maybe Fenn will give us the first clue so we can play again sans treasure to be found.

The Karens of Karens wants to speak to the manager.

“Andersen said in recent years she rearranged her schedule and asked judges to move cases to allow her monthlong breaks so she could follow Fenn’s clues. Treasure hunting involved first scouring a website widely used as a forum, where Fenn himself posts updates.”

She requested case changes to pursue her fucking hobby.

“Sir, your custody hearing has been rescheduled for six months so Ms. Cunty and her collie can pursue her dreams of fame and fortune as Indiana Jones. “
