Looking for an.223 Remington barrel for a Remington 700. Would prefer a 1:8 twist but can work with other options as well.

I have a two 223 Ackley barrel for a Remington 700 with not even 100 rounds on it eight twist 20 inch Krieger heavy varmint threaded five eights x 24 on the muzzle for a suppressor.

Any contour from sendero to MTU will work. Just trying to get a rifle operational while I wait for my blank and reamer to come in. Not looking to do an improved on this one, would like to transition into the next barrel as standard .223 Remington. Thanks guys!

Are you sure on the twist? I thought the pss came with 1:9 which would be great for what I’m after.

I can check again but I am pretty sure it is a 1-12. I purchased this rifle new many years ago when the PSS was LEF only.

I have a 223 take off sps barrel never fired but it’s not a heavy contour if interested .

You were right the bbl is a 1-9
