If you run it with just the pic or short arca rail up front, it’s basically like running a gamer plate. With the 2.6” bare forend on the bag.

When you run a full arca, it effectively turns it into a 1.5” forearm. I have done blind tests with several people and the difference in stability is ridiculously obvious.

I run 4” arca up front. It’s only two screws to loosen and slide it back if I think I’ll need bipod or something closer to magwell. I also keep full arca in pack. Two bolts and about 30sec and it’s on the rifle.

That's really nice. I only wish the rear part of the stock were flatter. It's nice to see some innovation in the non-chassis realm though.

If only they would offer an inlet for ingenuity gunworks rail. Then you have a nicer version of arca for adjustable bipods etc plus the full width of the forend

when i first got a genesis years ago and John Kyle asked for feed back i told him "move that grip all the way forward, far as it'll go"...finally made it! lol

I’ve always had to use stocks line Kmw, AI, mcm A10, mpa matrix, ergo vertical, etc etc to get a proper trigger press.

The centurion gives me the distance I need to get a 90deg. So, I think you’ll be happy with it.

Agreed. The only two things that would allow you the full width of the forearm would be an ingenuity rail or if someone made a 2.6” wide arca rail and clamp.

And it’s not even close. With and without the arca rail is totally different in stability with this stock.

This is a reply I made in another centurion thread. It’s just copy pasted, so the context of some of it will seem awkward. Regardless, it still applies.

So, after about 1500 rounds (maybe more) on mine with and without the arca rail, I need to clarify as I’ve noticed several things. First off, this is shooter dependent.

So, without the arca rail, the width of the stock really takes a lot of the lateral movement out. Almost the same as a gamer plate. Without the rail riding the bag, the forend acts like an F class or BR stock. It will slide back and forth very well.

This may or may not be good depending on the shooter. For me, as I prefer to manage recoil as best as possible (I will use variations of free recoil at times, but it’s not my first choice), the sliding back and forth didn’t suit me as well.

With the full arca on the bag, the lateral is still pretty good (not gamer plate good like without rail), but for me personally it cuts down on my back and forth movement. My lateral wobble isn’t that much, and the rail really gets me stable as far as forward and aft.

So, this may have been what you were thinking with it “digging in” and I think I may have been wrong that it doesn’t.

For me personally, running the rail really lets me lock it in. I have used it both ways for many rounds. Today I shot 40 rounds without and 40 rounds with the rail. This was standing off a very stable steel barricade and I was taking my time (though not shooting incredibly slow either). I was shooting a 1moa plate at 400yds.

My impact % was 80% without the arca rail and 93% with the rail.

I also saw a noticeable difference in reticle rise during recoil. Without the rail tracked back better and less reticle rise. With the rail, the reticle climbed more. Both were easily little enough to spot shots at 3/400.

Some shooters may benefit more without the rail. So I’d recommend testing both ways. If you free recoil much, without the rail really let’s the rifle track back very well.

It definitely doesn’t just sink into the bag. If rails just sunk in, gamer plates wouldn’t help as much as they do.

I have both on order actually, what could possibly go wrong? If I don't like either, I could easily sell the looser..but I am afraid that the only looser here will be my wallet as I most likely keep em both...

I hear ya! I've got an Exodus right now and a TCS on order to swap it out... but I have a feeling I'll just keep both.

So Why don’t you use a gamer plate? 2.6” is not almost 4.5” for lateral stability is it?. The lever/wheel on the plate can be done in less time than your two bolt change out for ease of use/application ,as well as comparible pack space. And $ doesn’t seem to be a factor in your rifle components?

I'm still in love with my JAE chassis', but if I had to buy a new stock, I think this would be a contender. I wish some of these stock makers would incorporate more chassis like features, like the new Manners PRS-TCS.

I’m surprised they haven’t started offering to mill in m-lok into the sides of the forearms. With the current weight/balance craze, seems like it would be a low cost/high margin add on.

Got the TCS and it’s awesome. My Centurion isn’t here yet, so I am still not able to tell who the winner is. So far, the TCS has blown away all the others I have, the only getting closer being the KRG W3 Gen 6 folding I will keep for my R700 long actions.

That’s how I plan on running it. I plan on using a gamer plate to get more contact w bag. I rather have 4” than 2.5”. I’m starting there.

The plate is going to be pretty large diminishing returns. Even with a 1.5” rail on the bottom. I’ve run centurions and currently run an envy pro with the side weights.

Now, I just leave my gray ops plate with bag attached for stages I use a tripod in rear and the bag/plate up front.

A 2.6” forearm is 65% of a 4” plate. But a plate is nowhere close to 35% more stable than without it.

Also, it’s easier to get the cant out of the rifle without a plate.
