Foundation exodus vs genesis 2

Looking for advice on these two stocks. Been shooting chassis for years and want to try something different. Which forend do you prefer and why?

this rifle will be my primary prs rig.

I slightly prefer the wider fore end over the Exodus. I stabilize the rifle on barricades with my hand on the fore end / barrel, and it gives me more to hold on to. That said, I don’t see any real quantifiable performance difference with either.

Makes sense about using the forend to stabilize. I wish I could get behind one before I buy.

After playing around with a couple different shooter's stocks including the Genesis and Exodus, I ordered myself the Genesis2 stock. Shorter grip to trigger, but wider fore-end. I also made the custom modification of having them skip the honeycomb inletting in the fore-end under the barrel channel. Figured with everyone adding weight kits back into the stock why not skip that step and just not take the inletting out in the first place?

the brass weights look tempting though, really debating a genesis 2 with the weight kit

Ended up picking up this exodus. Think the slightly more narrow forend will be more familiar. Thank you to foundation for digging one up for me.

Haha, just giving it a try out this season to see how it does. Had a chance to chat with John-Kyle a bit and shoot his stock at the PRS finale and really liked it. A real nice "dead" feeling with none of the vibration of a chassis, seemed like the recoil movement in the scope was over more quickly even though it wasn't as heavy as my weight kitted MPA.

I figured with the whole weight kit issue it would just be cheaper and simpler not to remove material from the stock only to add it back in with brass kits. Less $$, less work, less potential for moving parts, less cracks/crevices for dust to get in. Probably not a huge difference in overall weight once you figure the density difference between Micarta and Brass, I'm guessing less than a lb?

I keep hearing the vibration thing. Makes me want to try out a Foundation, curious to see how I would like it compared to my J Allen's.

They aren’t wood actually. They are made from a solid piece of Micarta. Bedding is not required at all, though some folks do end up skim bedding them or just bedding the recoil lug for good measure.
