Not one to toot my own horn but I thought I'd share one of my best stands ever with you guys. I walked in predawn, and sat on a ridge overlooking some sage flats and hay meadows. I had a draw on either side of me and the wind was from my 9:00. The FoxPro Fury 2 and a Mojo critter are 150 yards out in front and up wind of me.
One long female howl and the backtalk went off. I picked out several Coyotes on the next ridge @ 311 yards. They were not on to me and after howling back and forth, they didn't seem keen on leaving the high ground. I dialed 3.25 MOA and punched a broadside coyote. The wet slap of impact was music to my ears. What happened next is one of those " you had to be there" moments. Basically the pack scattered and it seemed no matter where they went I had them. I'd bark and yip, with my mouth and shoot another.
When the shooting stopped I thought I had a triple, but to my surprise I had a quad kill !!! My second shot at fleeting coyote didn't sound like a hit but it was and after tracking down the ass shot coyote, I had the four coyotes down.
The next day I had to work, I spent the whole day playing the stand over and over in my head. I got off work, headed out on another stand, a couple miles from the "quad stand", and after 12m47 sec of calling I bust this young female. I was stoked five song dogs in two days !!!
