FP10: Anybody use it?

Re: FP10: Anybody use it?

FP-10 was and is manufactured by shooter's choice:

I've used it, and it is a very good lubricant. I doubt it does anything for cleaning, and the corrosion resistance I can't really speak to- I don't use a straight lube for corrosion prevention; that isn't even logical. If it's advertised souly as a lubricant, don't expect it to do anything more than lubricate.

Re: FP10: Anybody use it?

I use it exclusively for claening and lubing my various 1911s (that includes two full house Yost customs, and my concealed carry lightweight commander). I owned at one time a full house Burns custom (sold it to my Brother about 7 years ago - it now has 15,000 rounds through it over 12,000 of which are from my brother), and Dane strongly recommened FP-10 as both a cleaner and a lubricant. It has been working so well that I have never seen a reason to change

Re: FP10: Anybody use it?

I used to use it for my 1911s. However, I changed it up a bit as they need different lubes in different areas...especially the slide rails. I use gun butter on the rails now and Break Free CLP on everything else. The FP-10 is good stuff, it was just a bit more expensive than CLP and I haven't noticed much of a difference in corrosion resistance.

Re: FP10: Anybody use it?

I've been using it since Desert Storm I met the original owner at Ft. Stewart (Hinesville GA) at the time we were all using Break Free. The Demo he did made me stop using Break Free and I never looked back. I use in on every pistol, Shotgun and rifle I own (except my M1 and M14's a I grease them, remember ARs are of the jet age M1/M14's are like farm equipment...you finely oil precision equipment..you grease farm equipment!)

I carry every day as a LEO and I swear by this lube.

I used it in the original brown FP-10 bottle now I by it in the Shooter's Choice form
