Gunsmithing Franchi SPAS 12 ???

I recently was given a Franchi "Black Magic" 3" 12 ga gas operated semi auto shotgun with a "hopelessly" stuck bolt. Some "gunsmith" tried freeing it up by hammering on the bolt operating lever, breaking it off. I got it open yesterday after researching any related web info I could find. The jam occurred because the recess in the barrel extension where the bolt locking wedge engages was chipped and the chip was binding it. This shotgun shares the same receiver and bolt group as the SPAS 12 as near as I can tell from photos. I need a bolt operating lever for repairs. www.spas12.com can't help, nor can Carlson's. Any other source suggestions ?? Also, does anyone know if the recess in the barrel extension can be welded and remachined (it is chromed) ?? Hate to see this sit unused forever in the closet. If it can't be fixed, is anyony interested in a receiver, trigger and bolt assembly to creaate an SPAS 12 clone ?? Thanks in advance for any input !! Joe

Thanks for the link to Numrich, but as usual, the part I need is sold out. Any gunsmiths out there have an opinion concerning the welding and remachining of the barrel??
