So I have had a Rock River advanced tactical hunter for over a year and really like it. When I ordered it from Rock River I had them put on their quad rail and not the half quad that comes stock on the advanced tactical hunter. I now have added a bi-pod to this set up and from time to time I put on a forward grip, the problem now is I am running out of rail. My question to you all is which brand of quad rail would you suggest that would be an easy job to put on my Rock River and not break the bank. I would like one that will work for my needs. This is a hunting rifle that sees the range from time to time. I have seen these things range from 100 to 350 dollars. I recently purchased a daniel defense m4v5LW and really like the quad tube on it. Seems very well made and not huge and bulky like my rock river tube, its not cheap though. The rock river quad rail is to big around. I have sent e-mails to some companies but no response, I assume they have bigger fish to fry than dealing with me on a free float tube with whats going on in our country and the shot show. My rock river has a low profile gas block on it so I assume most would work. The length of barrel on my rifle is 18 inch stainless and would like to cover up as much of it as I can with a tube. I am looking at a 13-15 inch range of free float tube. I do want it to have 4 rails on it. Any of your experiences and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

Another option that might be worth a look is the Troy Bravo rail. I have used the Troy Alpha rail (tube style, not quad rail) and it has a solid attachment system. The Bravo uses the same system as the Alpha but has 4 rails, like you're looking for. Price is around $200 and it comes in a 13" length.

I really like the Midwest 1 piece rail systems. Easy to install has a single set screw underneath, light weight, not too expensive. Rifle length should be more than enough rail for your purposes.
PS - the ddefense rails are excellent if you want to spend big money

The 2nd Gen Midwest Industry rails are comparable in feel to my Larue rails.
I put it on a dedicated 22 (because I didn't want to dedeicate $300) and I've been very pleased with it.

So i think I am going to go with the MI gen 2 ss 15 inch. I got to look at one at a gunshop yesterday and really like the way it looks and feels. Was thinking I needed a 4 rail tube but it comes with enough rail pieces that I can put them where I need them and if I need more, just order them. Like the way it will reduce the weight as well. This will go on my coyote rifle, should work out fine. Thanks for everyone's input.

I have a 4 rail tube, and would lode to swap it for a 1 or 2 rail tube. I would even swap for a robe that allows me to install the rails I want as I need them.
This relates to the op's post in that I find the 4 rail tube too thick, and too rough even with the ladders installed on rails I do not use. I would look for one of the tubes that allows you to install or delete rails you do not need. The slim profile would make the rifle easier to carry.

Well thanks everyone for the input. I had decided to go with the mi but also decided whatever i could get my hands on that met the criteria i would purchase it. Cost more than i wanted to spend but found a buyer for the rock river rail once its off. The dd rail is light and very narrow compared to what is on the rifle now. I just installed a Troy Vikings tactics battle rail Mine is 13" but I beleive they make a 15" version as well. It comes with a full length top rail a nice slim profile so it doesnt feel big and clunky then you just attach rail sections wherever you want them.

I like daniel defense, but tried MI awhile back. Nice rail for the price an gets the job done!

I have a MI Gen2ss on my ar-15 and love it. Wish I could get them for a DPMS style 308. I would recomend that since you have the option.

I went with the daniel defense, simply because it was available. I got it put on yesterday and am impressed so far. Got everything like I want it on the rails and it should work out fine. Cant wait to get the gun sighted in. Just recently got a new scope on this rifle as well, a vortex pst 1x4.Would have been happy with other rails I am sure but was ready to get one put one on. Thanks to all for the comments/suggestions.
