For sale - Remington 40X 22LR single shot heavy barrel. US Marked. Headspace is good though electro-pencil SN on the bottom of the bolt does not match the SN on the receiver. Rifle is as it came from the CMP, therefore, directly from the .mil. The buttplate is a period correct mod. The stock still shows remnants of tape adhesive from a period correct foam cheek rider taped on at one point and now removed.
Sights - on it are a NEW (I opened the Mylar package myself) Redfield Palma rear sight and Redfield Olympic front sight, with aperture.
AICS 1.5 - This stock is available as well, as part of a package with the rifle, or separately. Stock has had 2 modifications - one, it was skim bedded to mate up with a slightly banana'd 700 action I had built this rifle on, and two, the recoil lug area was gunsmith modified (deeper and wider) on a Bridgeport mill to take a Tubb oversized recoil lug.
AI sling - OD Green - Gotta say, I really liked this sling with the stock. Only reason for moving away from the AICS was to trim about 2.5 pounds off my rig by going to a lightweight hybrid A5/A3 McMillan stock.
Atlas bipod with AI mount - New, never used. Only has the AI adapter, no PIC adapter, though you can buy a PIC adapter from Atlas I'm sure.
Eley Club EPS ammo - this is available as part of the package. Not looking to sell it separately at this time. Note on EPS - EPS is the bullet shape; ALL EPS comes off of 4 machines. The different colors/models if you will have to do with several things. Sometimes it is testing results in Eley's test guns, sometimes it's just whatever is in inventory when the order comes in, and that's the label on the package. I have shot full cases of red, black, orange - no difference, other than usual lot-to-lot difference. ANY LOT I have on hand is a forgiving lot, meaning it shoots well in several rifles, and when it didn't agree with a rifle, it was not a shotgun, just not as tight of groups. Yes I had access to a 50 meter indoor range and rifle mechanical rest for testing when this lot was selected. WHEW long explanation
Prices:
Rifle with sights - $1400
AICS - $650
AICS Sling - $50
Atlas Bipod w AI spigot - $250
Ammo $15/box of 50 (all of the same lot).
I'd really prefer to do some packaging up on these items. Items and I are along the front range of Colorado. FTF OK with FFL and 4473 transfer.
PLEASE PM ME with any questions. Thanks!
