Looking for some distance out here, preferably private or public land - memberships out here are pretty expensive.

If I were to go the membership route, Frontline Defense seems to be the only 1k YD range within 2.5hrs.

Finally got another bolt gun to replace the one I had to sell last year.

I used to live about 10 minutes away from this place and I used it for load development, long range, pistol, and carbine. Call and talk to the owner and he can usually get you set up if you tell him what you want to do. He can get you out to about 1000 but you need your own targetry.

Google: Anderson Creek Hunting Preserve

I used the range complex, it’s ran by a retired CAG guy and it’s chill. It is a bit spendy depending on how much time you spend there. He has 3, 2, and 1 MOA steel every 100yds to 600 yds. The last time I was there he was talking about stretching it to 1K, worth a call to find out.

There is another range in the same area that I have used a couple times called recondo operations group. He’s kind of a goober but for $20 a day it’s hard to beat the range. He has steel to 800 and working to get out 1k, two years ago anyway.

The range complex isn’t bad at all, but when I went out there 3 weeks ago it was still 600yd for $20/hr. Not bad though for being relatively close to base. I’ll look into the recondo place and see what they have.

Gave Anderson Hunting Club a call and left a message. Hopefully something works out! Trying to dodge that drive to Frontline if possible, but it does look like a top-notch facility.

I live on post, looking forward to meet people in the long range community around here. Also looking for a good piece of land to shoot.

The only feasible option is Recondo Operations Group. About 50min SE of post. Find him on Facebook to see the public range hours. He’s open today, November 3, for a $20 daily fee. Steel to 800yd and no membership required. He’ll make you “qual” on his 100yd range before he lets you move over to the long side. 4” popper shouldn’t be a challenge...but for some it is I guess lol.
