Here's a text message from 1911. In those days folks would have a pic printed on card stock to be use as a post card. Those folks around the antler pile are my relatives from my mother's side of the family on their ranch. The front of the post card is kind of interesting as far as the address and postmark.

I cant make out the text but I imagine it says something like..."I just picked up a new pistol. I think it's gonna be a game-changer. It chambered in this new caliber called .45acp - not some pussy-assed 38 caliber."
Not as old as @Ankeny’s post card, but this is from a Museum in Nebraska. Sent from my Uncle Bob to my mom during WWII.
