17 minute Timelapse of satellite traffic over one small corner of Montana. Nah, no one is watching your Garmin, Apple Watch, phone, car, Fitbit…. No one.

We are Too dependent on technology. The system is too complex. We don’t need a NWO to bring it all down. We need a solar flare. A geological event. A computer virus. A few more years of the people Who know how to fix transformers and make “stuff” Work to retire and die of old age.

Sitting at Heathrow last spring looking out over that one “small” microcosm of complexity was a wake up. No one knows how the “system” works any more. And a cascade failure is inevitable.

Sooner? Later? Probably by accident. Or….

Why are the stars not making star trails? When I did time lapse photography at night, exposures as short as 15 seconds images of stars would start to elongate.

Maybe that helps. Don’t think this was an old film photo like we did as kids holding a shutter open . Modern digital…. Which is sort of the point of all this. Can do cool things, but at what risk?

So are mopeds. 😃
What do you have?
I've been in the Dyno room with 1500 hp motors. I've sat on the starting line for many nhra top fuel runs and over 20,000 hp lighting off. I've been on the flight line with the goverments best fighters lighting off. I have 5 and 600 hp motors in my cars and there's just something about the feel of burning fuel that can't be matched by an electric motor.
I am not a hater. It's just not for me. Kinda like the tuner cars. I think what that segment of motorsports has done is cool. Maybe some day the electric will get the nerds to figure out how to make it a part of the wrenching in the garage scene? If that is possible.

Some are already doing it. Check out this guy, interesting to listen to and I like his style.

I have an 850 Fiat Spider that the thought of doing electric has crossed my mind often enough to look into. Nope. Cost of an "off the shelf" setup that I could "make" fit the fiat is a non starter. Yes they do exist....for about 10x what I paid for the car.

Doing it yourself, well after looking into it, no. I MUST have a minimum of 100 mile range just to get to town and back, so that means I need a 200 mile range built into the car. The battery is going to weigh more then the entire car. And there is no place to put it. Under the car, no too low, Fronk too small, rear too small, under the seats.....no I don't like that idea. And the added weight, what about simple things like wheel bearings and brake hardware, all will need to be upgraded. No.

So thought is crossing my mind of doing like he did with his honda, motorcycle power. Now that I could do. The stock 850 has about 36HP when new, so I could run the thing on an engine from harbor freight....another thought that crossed my mind, quite a few people are doing that as well.

Nothing will happen till I finish Elkie, the old VW.

As seen during the loft build. Poor dusty girl.
