Join the contestA Rover is like herpes. Sure, it may flare up and cause trouble from time to time, but you’ll never get rid of it.
So...Rover owners are, um, stupid?
I would love an early Defender with a 12V Cummins in it....We like vehicles with charm and character.
I mean, how boring is life when your car just…
Starts? Or you know formsure you will make it to the next town without the rear axle just… falling off. Or that the Connelly leather interior isn’t giving you anthrax.
If you want to live that kind of boring existence, getting where you want to go and not getting stranded in Death Valley and eaten by vultures… fine. Get a Lexus or an Accord or even a 77 ford Granada.
But if you want to live in style while potentially dying a horrible, miserable early death because of a vehicular system failure… then a British car is definitely right for you!!
Sheesh… boring people. They’re everywhere.

Please sweet baby Jesus let there be an accompanying video of this somewhere?
Look at the tail... does that mean the bison is asking the victim a question, e.g., "You talkin' to me?" or "Say that again!" or "Hey bitch, can't you read the sign?".Please sweet baby Jesus let there be an accompanying video of this somewhere?
No doubt about it, Tesla is not BMW when it comes to producing their vehicles, or when it comes to service.
When there is literaly a lighting with your name on it
Never had a BMW but several Mercedes. Great cars and reliable if you did the maintenance. They get pricey when they get older,. Buy it used at a steep discount with around 30K, drive it 125K and move it along.I have only had one experience with BMW vehicles and their service. The car belonged to my granddaughter and If Tesla is worse than BMW in build and service they are very bad IMO. There were constant problems with it and I dreaded to hear my phone ring because it was "Granpa, there is something wrong with my car". The service department would lie to her and once said there was nothing they could do although it was still in warranty. When an older and more serious individual got involved they suddenly decided they would come get it as it wouldn't go at all. I was so very happy when she finally got rid of that damn thing.
A dealer oil change was $300 then and they told her no one but them could change the oil. The local oil change place said that's nuts, we do it all the time. They also told her it had to use the run flat tires it came with that were total junk. Grandpa and one of the local tire shop owners told her that was untrue and a set of regular tires solved that problem.

Here's a some what time dated original joke I teased a buddy who had a BMW with. That was right after Cheney/Bush invaded Iraq.
-Why is a Mercedes Benz fundamentally a better car than a BMW?
-There's no 'W' in Mercedes Benz.
I grew up in a small town, 700 people, in NW Missouri. There was a house across the street from my Grandparents that had about a dozen mature walnut trees.............all the squirrels in that area were black............Did you know all the squirrels in Quebec City are Black?

If you look close, you can see the tiny little switchblade!

MB came in at 240 problems per 100...just below Chrysler and Jag. But they did edge out Ford.
New Mercedes are nothing like the old ones (1980’s through 2000 or so.)
Maggot is talking about the S and E class cars that were true tanks and, if you kept up maintenance, we’re about 0 problems.
The new stuff is electronic nightmares… too complex. Never keep past the warranty. A Bama Benz is NOT a Stuttgart Benz. And the arrival of the C-class was about the end of the solid car.
If I could find a low mileage 1989ish 500 or 560 SEC (and someone to work on to competently), I’d drive it to my grave and be buried in it!
What Maggot described was exactly how my 500SEL was… 40k miles dirt cheap to buy. Drove to 125k when it started to get spendy, moved on to a SL320 convertible… low miles… then moved home to VT where service sucks and no more Benz’s.
