i still have my supersport but havent ridden it in about 7 years. when i rode it regularly with the mates, we went up a road we ride almost every weekend. with myself leading, i was coming out of a left hander about to flip into a right hander when out the corner of my eye i saw a wallaby coming out and cross right in front of me. i stood the bike up and applied the brakes pretty hard. i made contact, all the time thinking i was coming off. i considered myself lucky that all that happened (found out later) that it took out my front right blinker and made a 1in crack below my air intake. i checked all functions, even standing up on the pegs to look over my screen to see if the lights copped an impact. sat back down and went hell for leather. those that saw what happened slowed down. those that didnt thought they were fast overtaking those that slowed down. all this on a single lane road at night. i never went over the bars, and i doubt a harley rider sitting in a lounge chair would go over the bars if they learnt to use the front brakes. sometimes i think that some people should have stuck to pushbikes and never mounted a motorcycle. due to my work related injuries, i am still debating with myself whether to keep my bike or retire from riding altogether since i havent ridden properly or have seen a track in close to 7 years. i think old age has kicked in, and fuck no, i aint jumping on a bike covered in chrome
