I would have loved to by Mildred a cup of coffee or tea in her later years. Goodness knows, she must have seen a lot in her years out there. I bet the stories and tales were epic.
She was called the "Belle of Oakland" because of her beauty. She never married. She bought her first 160 acres when she was 18 with money she earned working. Between her inheritance and buying up land, she pieced together quite the ranch here Douglas County Oregon.

I saw her once when I was a kid. She was wearing overalls and looked rough. My dad said she sported a Colt pistol when she was working on the ranch. When she died she gave the ranch to the county for a park. It's 1100 acres, has hiking and equestrian trails. She is buried on the ranch.

Brother it is the most fun you’ve ever had. As you get older you begin to think about your legacy, what you’re going to leave the world with. For me, I want to put all of my knowledge and skill into that little dude so he won’t have to start so far behind as I did.

Having fun doing it is a requirement 😊

I have 6 of the rats now.
I thought I enjoyed spending time with my 3 kids, but the grandkids are a totally different game. Stresses of life are behind us? and can just live for the moment? IDK? But it seems more....fun!?

Intravenous ethanol for the treatment of alcohol withdrawal syndrome in critically ill patients

Abstract

Critically ill patients with alcoholism are at greater risk of morbidity and mortality from alcohol withdrawal syndrome than are patients without alcoholism. Benzodiazepines are considered the drugs of choice for the prevention and treatment of alcohol withdrawal syndrome, but some studies have suggested that intravenous ethanol may be as effective as those agents, as well as being less sedating. We evaluated the evidence regarding the use of intravenous ethanol for the prevention and treatment of alcohol withdrawal syndrome in critically ill patients in order to determine its role in this patient population. Because of the paucity of well-designed clinical trials, and because of intravenous ethanol's questionable efficacy, inconsistent pharmacokinetic profile, and relatively narrow therapeutic index, routine use of this drug is not recommended in critically ill patients who have alcohol withdrawal syndrome or are at risk for it.

My daughter says “you love Liam more than you ever did me”…..

I smile and say “no baby that’s not true…”

It is different and I didn’t understand until I was experiencing it.

Radial artery cut along the arm instead of across it…. That’s some bleed out shit right there.

Too bad he’s too stupid to put pressure on it and a tourniquet because it would be totally survivable if he wasn’t a fucking moron.
