This is bullshit... The Silver Ghost production ended in 1925... with a couple being madein 1926.

By 1927, they were well in to the Phantom 1 production. To my knowledge, no polished bodies went to British Lords. They all went to India because the Maharajah's liked their bling. And paint did not hold up well in the Indian sun. No self-respecting Englishman would polish coachwork. Except the bonnet. Because engine heat could damage paint. So until better lacquer formulations came along, polished bonnets were not uncommon (though not the rule, either).

With a bit of research, this is 122AU. Was previously 48TM. My Ghost is 27 TM. Cunard body. So this is a '24 Ghost with modern reproduction coachwork by Reeves.

Was recently sold by Classic Promenade... a shyster dealership in Phoenix/Scottsdale.

These pictures are all over Facebook right now with a bunch of folks claiming its their car. Mostly a bunch of beaners.

$298K asking was probably well-bought IF the engine and mechanicals were good. You could not build the body for that. And an engine rebuild for it starts at $75K. So better hope it's been done.

If any of you want a Ghost, it's a buyers market right now. I can set you up with some world class examples for short $$. No commission on my end. I just restore them. I am not some Arkansas used car hustler.

Cheers,

Sirhr

PS. If any of you want a real Maharajah Rolls... I can let you have my drophead PIII V12 ex- Parlekemundi Rolls for just 1.2 million. It has fitted cocktail glasses. And a hell of a history! One of you must own a call center and want to re-patriate a piece of Raj history!
How much royal pussy have you picked up in that?

Now show one with the starter on the floor as well.........
There were windshield washer fluid pumps on the floorboards. IIRC the duster I owned had the highbeam switch and the washer fluid pump on the floor.
The starter whine was standard equipment on all chry plys of that time frame

Seems like I remember a lot of Chrysler starters were spur gear reduction starters. Spur gears are known for their whine as tooth load handoff to the next tooth is not a smooth process like with helical gears.
