What smoker are you using?

Masterbuilt electric that I bought from Lowe's a 15 years ago or so. IIRC It was some kind of failure with the one I was using and it was the demo model. The POS timer failed a week later. I ordered a commercial thermostat for it and installed it. It's been working great since.

Company that recruited me in Dec has decided to pull out of SW VA. Left me high and dry after all of the planning and “hang tight it takes a year to redevelop an area…” Despite “you're a fantastic employee and do excellent work” I find I am again in limbo….

I met a man last year who is in trucking, OTR freight and local hot shot. He and I took a liking to each other while working together on the hurricane Helene clean up.

I have my DOT physical today.

Upped my weight on my tags to 26k this week.

75k liability ins.

Safety gear, logbook.

Ready to work for myself again 🥰

Call me hotshot I reckon. Thank God for letting me meet people who are positive, helpful and willing to give you a shot. Glad I saved that number back last winter 😇

from what I know about this, make sure you do all the rehab that is the key to success. Everyone I have met that bitched did not follow the rehab schedule. Too much time, pain, money, make sure you do it.

Definitely follow the rehab and the relearning to walk correctly. I’m positive that my father’s back surgeries were directly related to his not completing the knee replacement rehab correctly. Granted there were some other injuries, but not walking/standing correctly was a Big factor in the back problems.

Anybody who knows you understands what you have suffered.

Glad it is getting done.

my grandfather joined in january of 1942 and served until sept of 45. He was a waist gunner in B-17s in africa, italy and england, He was also involved in schweinfurt-regensburg missions.

he always said in his later years, if he had to travel by aircraft, that "if ain't a Boeing, I ain't going"

I never understood that statement when I was a kid, but as I learned more about WW2 I can now clearly see what he meant. I wish I had asked him more questions while he was alive about this part of his life

Read the book 'Or go down in Flames" about the Schweinfort missions and the B17 crews. There are some others. But that one is superb and tells some real human stories!

Naw... I know that sky well, you good. If it starts turning a green tint, look for cover... ricky tick...

You are not kidding about the green tint! First tornado that hit near me in North Carolina… the sky was bile green and the air was so thick you could cut it with a knife.

Seen that three times. Every time a bad tornado!

Yet still never “seen”’a tornado.
