Maybe, but just look at the groups that are doing the squabbling. They had been at each other before the British and resumed after they left. One might posit that British rule brought a brief period of peace. . . History, written by the victors, there is always a different perspective depending on where you are viewing the subject from.

I lived in Ecuador. Great place and awesome people. I understand things have changed since the Venezuela invasion. The Ecuadorian President Noboa is on board to start cleaning things up. I understand Eric Prince of Blackwater fame was in country a few days ago. Bet he has some ideas.
Someone has been skipping leg day and doubling up on head day.

As an observant person could surmise, I am infatuated with sailing ships. I was probably a pirate in a previous plane of existence. The thought of living on a boat and migrating along the east coast from New England to South America has been something I dreamed about.
