Is that her “street / rap” name?
Probably was slave name...

Someone should look up the antebellum Rosebottom plantation and shtetl in Georgia. If my hypothesis is correct, they raised Matzo, Gefelte Fish and had acres and acres of Yamulke plants turning out bales of little hats every season. May also have had a lot of acreage dedicated to kosher hogs and corn pone.

Economically-speaking and doing the historical math, they would have had 84 - 112 slaves named after Massa Schlomo Rosenbottom, the family patriarch, formerly of Warsaw. He may have also been involved in banking. And mulatto-production.

Just 'sayin.

He caught a case of “bighead” and thought nobody ever to play the game was like him.

Lots of potential ruined by wearing Prince’s outfits at press conferences and generally acting like a douche.

He never thought about being someone that companies would want to market their product.
The face tattoo and face piercing crowd doesn't appeal to the people buying products. Their music or whatever is only for a short cycle and then it's good by by all the klingons cuz they are broke. Reality check time is a bitch

Question for the older farts on behalf of LeftyDad. My dad had a lp record album in college in 73 or 74 (for sure before 75) that had a song on it that had a train approaching and going by on it. Started off soft with dings. Gradually got louder til the train passed. The train was not a steam train.

My dad got it from a room mate who was a dj and got it from the radio station at Snow College in Utah. My dad did a prank with it at 2am pushing 20 watts and made the people on a lower story look for the rail road tracks.

I have heard this story many times growing up.

The ending of "Caroline, No"?

If your Dad has a sense of humor ask if it sounded like this:

Most radio stations then has a few “sound effects” records lying around. Just LP’s of various sounds. Either for plying on air (some DJ’s. Used them as gimmicks) or for working into commercials or PSA’s.

Could that be what he used?

Sirhr
Maybe. One of his roommates was a dj. Thing is where do you find those?

Youtube has a lot of sound effects records uploaded. I was actually looking! Probably on iTunes as well. Everything gets uploaded or sold there! Probabaly are now also downloadable sound effects web sites out there!

Cheers,

I’m a Boomer. Hold my beer.
I was in the last days of Boomers... and so was at the vanguard of the Gen X...

Yeah... damn right!

That said, we all said that "Gen X are a bunch of slackers and losers who will never amount to anything."

The reality is that they are the best generation in 100 years. And I include in that the so-called "Greatest Generation." Gen X have been the rocks of the post-Reagan world.
