Is that a "Tactical" Stuffed toy clown play doll in the box behind you, Pudge? Or just a normal stuffed toy clown play doll in the box behind you, Pudge?

That "AR" sure is clean... Make a nice battlefield pickup for someone.

And love the multi-hued aiming spot in center mass. They do like to make it easy, don't they?

When Easy company faced any challenge - especially training with other branches - they had no problems.

He was a dick but there is something to sweating during training to have it easier in the real fight
In the original book by historian Stephen Ambrose, this point was made and several of the officer interviewed agreed that even though Sobol was a martinet and a horrible field leader, his discipline and his role as the “enemy”‘helped make Easy what it was.

Sobol never recovered from his rejection. After the war he committed suicide. His family still blames members of Easy.

he attempted suicide in 1970 and died in 1987. That is a pretty shitty suicide. Although his "attempt" did basically cause his death, it sure as hell wasn't a fast death.

As per Wikipedia : In 1970, Sobel shot himself in the head with a small-caliber pistol in an attempted suicide.[11] The bullet entered his left temple, passed behind his eyes, and exited the other side of his head. This severed his optic nerves and left him blind.[11] Soon afterward, he began living at a VA assisted-living facility in Waukegan, Illinois. He died there of malnutrition on 30 September 1987.[11][12] No memorial services were held for him.[11]
