It's also possible he either doesn't use it enough to realize the limitations of only owning one gun or he uses it only for a very specific purpose that doesn't translate well to other uses. Neither totally applies to Quigley but still.

Rode the Copper Triangle several times and the climb starts at Copper up an over Fremont Pass at 11,400' .
