Basically the jet pump intake sucks up rocks and grass in shallow water then you got no more go power. Without the new toy you have to stop, trim up the motor, get out of the boat, and clear the debris so you can go again. With the rock ejector installed, you pull the lever and the intake grates open up and the crap falls out then you can go some more. Most of the places I duck hunt require me to run very shallow (6-12”) in a lot of current. If you lose power in some spots it can be a very bad and dangerous day. Just a few small rocks inside the intake can keep the boat from even being able to get on plane at all. If you come off plane in 6” of water you’re stuck using the winch or waiting on the tide or both depending on where you’re at in the tide cycle.
