Night Vision Fusion updates ?

I’m gonna snag a Jerry-F and see if SureShot/Jay can work his Mojo on it for me. I have a couple of spare 3000 FOM L3 toobs to use.

The AGM fuzion or Hik unit's that are priced for mere mortals is fused with DNV, which sucks without some type of illuminator that the unit doesn't have, so it really doesn't work in fusion mode during the evening.
Hunting buddy of mine has the Fuzion 640 and I looked at it the other night pre-hunting trip in the hood. With the ambient light off the lights the DNV worked fine, but I did not check it out in the field in the dark when we were on the hunt.

The thermal performed good, but the refresh rate is not as smooth on a sweep as my Helion. He has the LRF model and that part is pretty sweet. Best we could tell from known ranges around his property it is accurate. Overall seems like a good unit for the money.

Don't forget your flashlight, if your going to use them without any ambient light or a decent moon.
Thermal, LRF, removable 18650 battery and price are real positives for the fuzion, but the DNV is lacking, as would be expected.

CoreVision Industries has their AVS/ITS fusion bino coming out early next year, they were showing it at SHOT. Fusion image only goes to right eye like the ENVG-B. They are pricing it at 25k with L3 tubes.

You don’t want 36’s. I’ve had a set and was not overly impressed.

The new stuff that DRT is fighting for us mere mortals to be able to purchase are a significant improvement. Very significant.

Patience is a virtue.
Patience and a LARGE bank account. Flexing with 31As is sooooo 2019 😉

How far can you detect deer with a COTI? I’d assume it’s a wide range so maybe 3 scenarios… in woods/timber, field with waist high grass and open field like picked beans?
Well JW Ramp has a photo of a deer at 400 yards. I have observed about the same distance in an open field myself.

I view the COTI as a good early warning detection system, kind of like radar. It not very good at recognising or identifying what a live critter is unless the critter is pretty close. Say 100 yards or less. It does great in the woods/timber picking up live critters.

The COTI does excellent at giving you the heads up that something alive is out there so that you can throw better thermal or IR and NV on it for PID.

Is this it? Saw it on a Google ad while browsing for thermals

Hoping to get the green light soon to talk about a unit from one of the mil players that's being cleared for comm sales.

Any update here?

I’m also curious how far we are from fusion clip ons (in addition to ADUNS)?
