FYI - Kestral discounts on Promotive

Re: FYI - Kestral discounts on Promotive

I tried to find it no luck to compare the pricing!

But i know that we are selling all their products at the lowest possible pricing mandated by NK.

So I will venture to say that 30% is off full blown retail and we can save you even more money on those products.

Might be worth you to compare it to our pricing.

If it is not please let me know so I can edit this.

Re: FYI - Kestral discounts on Promotive

I received the e-mail yesterday, looked into it. Not much of a discount compared to what you can get from Hide Vendors. You might save 10 bucks. What I have found is that a lot of vendors here will give you the same pricing or give you a ton of extra stuff that makes up for it. Only thing that would of interest me would be the Kestral with the Horus and I am still waiting for them to work all the bugs out.

Re: FYI - Kestral discounts on Promotive

A quick comparison shows Promotive at $146 for the 2500NV, whereas KestrelMeters.com has it for $154 + free shipping. The 4500NV w/ Bluetooth is $379 vs $399 at KestrelMeters.

Long story short, it's not some hugely amazing deal - just about the same as you'd get from most Hide or non-Hide vendors.

Re: FYI - Kestral discounts on Promotive

And it seems that promotive charges taxes on several of their items (Kestrel being one of them). It was actually more expensive than KestrelMeters.

Re: FYI - Kestral discounts on Promotive

Simply put, Promotive is simply a marketing wolf in sheeps clothing. Anyone who buys thinking they are actually receiving a "real" discount on a product simply has not done a google search for their item.

Not completely accurate. There are some really nice savings to be had through Promotive, you just have to be willing to look for them. The Woolrich clothing and Wicked Edge come to mind.

Nomad, et al

that's a helluva price on the Kestrel with built-in Horus ATrag software. Permit me a stupid question

Am I correct in assuming that the data produced will work for all reticles and not just the Horus reticles?. I'm waiting on my G2 from George, and I'd like to be able to use it with that.

Re: FYI - Kestral discounts on Promotive

Yes the data will work for all reticles!! Its called teh HORUS because it is running off the HORUS ballistic software.

We compared our prices on meters compared to Promotive and we are smoking their prices!!

+1 on the Woolrich pants I received, they also have a pretty attractive price on the Eberlestock lo-Drag if they ever list it as in stock

I'll have to take a second look.

Last time I went searching there the couple of products I was interested in were cheaper on line....I searched about 15-20 other items out of curiosity and it was literally the same story.
