Gap tempest magazine and bolt issues

I went with a gap tempest because it was a 60 degree bolt throw on a 700 footprint, when I put it in my kmw I noticed that my bolt body is hitting my feed lips on my mag. I switched it to an a3 and had the same issues. I’m sure this isn’t the first time it’s happened so what’s the easiest fix?

Aw mags, or shorten the mag latch so the aics mags run. If you are running aw mags, then shorten the mag latch incrementally until it cycles

This. I'd pretty much default to AW mags as it was designed for them and is one of the benefits.

I wondered if that was the case, as I ran them in my badger m2008, I just didn’t have any left and didn’t wanna drop $100 on one for an experiment and find out. That tells me what I need to know, thanks guys!

Yup i think i tried to run AICS in mine once and that was it. SAP has them for $80 idk about shipping but hopefully you can find one or so below $100. I need some more myself. George was unloading a ton of them a year or so ago at $55 a pop, i'm idiot for not grabbing two.

I'm gonna put it in my sig but i started a tempest thread on the old site that carried over to this one if you ever run into issues, lots of good info in there with guys who've been running them since announcement, some even barreled their own.
