That's some nice shooting. What load are you shooting on the handloads? Brass, powder, etc? I'm revisiting my GAP-10 after many years in the safe and want to work up some loads for it. Thanks.

Edit: Nevermind on the powder, I see now the notes on the target pics. What brass are you using?

Anyone have any experience with the the old style gap 10 manufactured by hogan and the new style manufactured by seekins. Interested in the accuracy of both of them are lighter now. I had a pof p415 and pof p308 and they were tanks.

Hi have MA-Ten in 6mm Creedmoor that GA Precision built for me. Not a Seekins, but it shoots pretty well.

My new girl:
.308 in 18" barrel
Atlas Bipod
Nightforce 3.5x15 with NP1 reticle ( thinking of going 5.5x22 with NP-R1)
SAS quick detach muzzle brake for the SAS 7.62 Titanium Supressor
Initial Break-in and groups were excellent with 175g FGMM, 5 shot group covered with a dime @ 100yds.
Going to use Lapua brass, 175g MK, CCI BR2 primers to start working on loads.
Many thanks to Snipershide, GA Precision, and Mile High Shooting for my dream rifle!
If your purpose for the GUN is what I think it is, that NF should be perfect for 800 yds. I have a mew ATCR 5x25x56 fI moa that is as new as. When it came out of box. I sold the gun for it before the scope came. I paid a street price of 3200...2300$ and it yours if you want it...I’m buying another Tangent Theta...IM me if your interested. Nice GUN.....

Here is mine. Caliber is the 6mm Creedmoor. Scope up top is the Bushnell HDMR with the GAP G2 reticle sitting in the Badger mounts that is provided with the GAP10 rifle. I am using a Harris bipod with the DLOC-S from Phoenix Tactical and a monopod from Accu-Shot. The paint is cerakote and was applied by me.

I am currently shooting the 105 Hornady BTHP with AMP jackets at about 3050 fps. I haven't shot for groups much yet as I have been busy killing coyotes with it and just don't have enough ammo to justify "wasting it" on things that don't have fur on them. The few groups I have shot indicate that this will hold in the 3/8 inch size range with ease.

Add your pics to the topic.

STOP ! OK,
I've had enough. I want to sell some stuff I haven't shot for a few years and buy or build a AR-10.

I want to replace my Sako TRG-22 I don't shoot anymore. Looking for help for a 16-18 inch barrel AR-10 build that can shoot 1/2 (ish) MOA with premium optics.
I like my Hk MR556 gas piston rifle over my AR-15 DI guns only cause of the easier clean up and put up.

Does Georga make a piston GAP 308?

Sorry for the intrusion, but I need help on a build / buy

I would call this a Piston Driven version of the GAP-10. While I have owned many GAP-10 Rifles in the past, this one is a High End Built to Specs, Piston Driven 308 Precision Rifle that utilizes a 22" Bartlein 5R Stainless Match Barrel with 1x10 Twist, This Rifle is Capable of 3/8" MOA Accuracy, and Guarantees Sub MOA Accuracy. This is an F&D Defense FD-308 Precision that has all the upgrades like a Geissele High Speed National Match Trigger, MagPul PRS Stock, Magpul MIAD Grip, 22" Bartlein Match Barrel, Side Charging Handle, and Adjustable Piston Driven Gas System. The Fit and Finish of this Rifle is Amazing.

F&D Defense FD-308 Precision
Schmidt & Bender PM-II 5-25x56mm Scope
Spuhr SP-4016 CantiLever Mount
Harris SBR Bipod with PodLok
Utilizes MagPul PMags.
AAC 51T BrakeOut for Suppressor.

Got any group pictures?

New to me GAP-10 308 20 inch barrel. Former KCMO Police rifle, and now a nice intermediate range gun to store in my closet while I pretend to use it.
After payday it will probably get a Steiner T6xi 3-18x, and then will need better pictures for sure.

My buddy grabbed the next rack number to this one, and lucked out on "coolness points" since it still has its rack number and stickers on the receiver.

By chance, I just watched that last night

Mixed up his dope, and showed he can make the hits if he had the correct kestrel data.

But… I don’t know how you don’t know your 1k 6.5cm dope vs your 308 dope.

Especially considering going at the 1k

How does it shoot?
I’ve only had it for about 12 months and so far I love it. Its really nice to have a semi auto rifle that’s just as accurate as my custom long range bolt guns. I've been able to shoot factory Hornady ELD-X 103gr and group 1/4”-1/2” MOA at 100 yards. Its the perfect Long-range predator rifle that you can also deer hunt with.

I have a GAP-10 in 6 CM and shot it suppressed about 95% the time with my Surefire SOCOM RC2, and I was wondering about changing out the buffer spring to a JP Silent Capture Spring assembly to help with the brass not being beaten up so bad and help the bolt cycle much smoother. Have any of you all done this before and noticed a difference while shooting suppressed; any benefits?

This is a newer GAP10 built on a Seekins platform with an adjustable gas block and it is “tuned” to eject the brass at the 2:30 to 3:00 o clock position.
