GAP10 ShowEm Off Pics

Re: GAP10 ShowEm Off Pics

OK I'll play.

Here is mine with a special S/N, 8888. If you remember the Beijing Olympics, it was in 2008, on the 8th day of the 8th month and the lighting ceremony was at 8 minutes past 8. Eight is the lucky number in the Chinese culture. I had to bribe George with a bottle of JW Blue to get the special number. Well, I did not exactly bribed him, I called a local liquor store, paid for the bottle and had them deliver the Blue Label to George as my way of thanking him for accommodating my request. I am hopeful he enjoyed it, IK surely appreciate my 8888 GAP 10 in 260 Remington.

FYI, I also have a M1A with 8888 S/N.

Re: GAP10 ShowEm Off Pics

Started the long wait on a GAP-10 earlier this month. Should have put it on the credit card in December instead of saving up/selling stuff! I just have this feeling that a couple great used ones will pop up in between then and now once the madness dies down in 4-6 months and I'll be kicking myself.

At the same time, it's nice to be getting one exactly to my specs, especially as my first GAP. Very stoked, now to forget about it until October or so. Damn that makes suppressors seem quick! Speaking of which, I have a new SAS Arbiter to occupy my time, so better get back to it!

Guys... I'm drooling. Placed my order October 23rd of 2012. Still waiting for my call.

Anyone else receive theirs lately? When was your order date?!?

I ordered October 16 and was recently told March. I was originally told June so anytime before that is a bonus.

Re: GAP10 ShowEm Off Pics

I saw in a recent post by George himself.. That he mentioned they had hoped to have Sept-October orders complete by end of Feb... (page 5 of this thread I believe)

... wishful thinking??

Let us know when you get yours!

The scope is a US Optics 3-17x with Mil adjustments and GAP reticle. The magazine is the Magpul 20rd. PMAG.

Barrel length. The actual finsh barrel length is 20". With the Surefire brake on it it's about 22". If you measure the barrel from the very end of the barrel extension to the end of the muzzle brake it's about 23".

The scope mount is the Spuhr ISMS 20moa/30mm rings.

The barrel on my gun is a .260 Remington chamber.

On 1-23-13 George posted "Id venture a guess that Aug and September and October orders will all be delivered by the end of Feb."

I was wondering who else might be in the Aug, Sep, Oct group that is still waiting now that February has passed?

I know that GAP has many aspects of fulfillment that are out of their hands, so I'm not picking on these guys. I'm just curious if I'm not alone in having my rifle miss the projected time line. I ordered in Mid August and my rifle is still awaiting a trigger. If I'm mid August then I wonder how many Sep and Oct orders are still waiting.

You're not alone, ordered mine mid August as well. Got to be getting close!

I'm a little under $6k into it with optics and accessories...

Is that your rifle on Gunbroker.com? Why are you selling? Just curious.

I'll be in. Just put deposit on my build. All FDE, 18 inch fluted with switch block and tuned to my 30-p1. Tunned for sonic and subs, hope the boys can make it happen. Gonna run a FTE brake with 3a threads. Not sure about the brake, but what the hell. Of course the PRS in FDE and grip. Also having my sons initials and birthdate engraved.

I lost my main source of income and money is tight. When the going gets tough the toys get going unfortunately...

I'm sorry to hear that.

I certainly hope that you are able to get your income source back soon!

Those looking for a sweet GAP-10 should see the auction on gunbroker and help Nick get through a tough time.

I ordered a GAP-10 on 10 Aug 12 with all the bells (including Giessele SSA-E trigger). Dustin ("Time") called two days ago and asked for my can so they could tune the switch block, but since I'm only three months into my stamp wait, I don't have the can (Cyclone) to send. I'll just send the upper & can back to GAP when the can comes in (July?) and use the couple weeks without it to focus on loading subsonics.

He said I also needed the trigger, then on to QA, but he didn't know how many rifles they had in the queue. So his swag was a couple more weeks, so I'm thinking the Ides of March. Zombie Caesar may just catch a sighting-in round!

Hey Ken,

Any idea about NEW GAP 10 Orders? I placed mine October 23rd...

We have over a dozen GAP 10's in our vault that are completed from August-December that are being held up by Magpul or Geiselle parts.

Current orders are being placed with a best-guess estimated 10 month lead time.

Colored PRS stocks and grips, Geiselle DMR triggers, and upper receivers are our main stumbling blocks as of this morning.

Hey Ken,
How's magpul doing with supplying you guys with mags, is there a snowballs chance in hell you guys will be able to ship with more than one mag any time soon?

How did the show em off thread turn into the update thread :)

Just kidding. I have one I ordered in October that I am waiting on and was wondering where the update thread went to.

Damn, why did I order the DMR trigger. It will be worth it. Now I have time to get the little things I need for it... like ammo.

KLin, I appreciate the update and comms.
A open question I had is if earlier pending work orders reserved the approved additional magazine quantity for shipment upon completion.

Hey ken,

First of all, really appreciate the updates... Makes me glad I went with GA Precision.

Any idea how I could check to see if one of those 10 guns has my name on it?!?

I WAS THERE Right Outside of the Bird Nest when they Blew Up Beijing Skies with about a Gazillion Fireworks that Day!!! Awesome Rifle Sir! P.S. You sound Chinese...LOL

Spring arrived in Redneckistan this weekend so I got out and did some overdue gear dialing (the GAP-10 was worked on by GAP, new to me POF and PWS rifles needed to be live fire function tested and the SA XDs needed more trigger time to be vetted). Put 60 rounds down range in no time flat with the GAP-10 and was glad I didn't bring any more .308 with me. Is there anything as addictive as smacking steel in a hurry with a semi-auto?

Was admiring your photograph and thought "there's a guy who can shoot with a camera as well"! An iPhone non the less, just proving that it's the manipulator and not the device.

Then I noticed your website. Nice stuff there!

My screen name actually came to me via photography not weapons, but it just happens to fit both ways.

Thanks...do you shoot professionally? Where in N. Idaho are ya? I drive through there a few times every year on my way to and from interior BC.
