I trying to gauge interest in a product that I have thought of. It is a simple product that would massively improve trigger pull on stock AR-15 trigger groups with no permanent modifications to the lower or any of the parts and can be installed by any person with almost no mechanical skills. Price would be under $30 shipped.

If this isnt the right section let me know.

Re: Gauging Interest

you cant advertise anything for sale as you are violating TERMS OF USE. you havent met post requirements nor are you a certified sponsor. Dont bend the rules. everyone else here has followed them, you should do the same.

Re: Gauging Interest

I don't think that was his intention Ky338, give him a little slack

McLarenRoss, sure, I'm sure if it does all you say for the price you claim then they'll sell like hotcakes. Don't think you need to wonder that.

However, you'll probably need to get them into the hands of a at least 3 or 4 members who can at least confirm your claims, ease of installation, safety and function etc first.

Then, you could do a one time group buy without being a site sponsor, just sell them at a introductory price and only run it for a month tops. If you decided to keep selling them and advertising them here after that, you should become a site sponsor, but I'm sure it'll be worth it if they are all that and a bag of chips.

Re: Gauging Interest

I dont want to go into details until I get one made exactly like I would sell them. I have a prototype made and have been using it in my High Power Match rifle now for 5 years. With this part and some polishing and tweaking of springs I have a ~1 pound trigger that has never failed or misfired on me and is still all the "Mil-Spec" trigger group.

Re: Gauging Interest

-1 pound? how does one go about achieving a negative one pound trigger pull or am I reading that wrong. Your invention sounds cool. I just was jumping to point out that if everyone else here had to get to 51 meaningful posts to sell items then all new comers should have to do the same.

Your invention could make you some good money if you market it right, and let people test it. Your going to need video proof of you using it and some of the modifications that you have to do, some, not all mods.

good luck

Re: Gauging Interest

Sorry. That is supposed to be an approximately symbol. It does look like a negative sign. It approximately 1 pound.

It looks like there is at least enough interest to merrit going ahead and buying the materials and spending the time on the lathe to make jigs and 25 or so of them.

As soon as I put a production model through the paces and tests I will send out PMs to a few of yall to test it and see what yall think.

Thanks guys.

Re: Gauging Interest

I am a current highpower competitor and would quietly test as well.
A simple signed and notarized "non compete agreement" form aught to protect you as I'm sure you just want to keep it private and yours.

And I'll give you honest feedback for free.

Re: Gauging Interest

Might I also suggest that you send one to lowlight (frank) as he does alot of tests on different things in the shooting world and has alot of pull when he aproves. Good luck with it, it sounds like it could go all the way for you.
