Posted this over in 2020 kills but had to share here too. Jeff’s handiwork made this possible!
My first deer. Came close to frostbite for him. Soaked my feet/legs crossing a river that was deeper than I thought, then sat for almost two hours in 25 degrees. My gun’s chassis was freezing to my pants
Worth it all though. Beautiful animal, 185 lbs dressed.
6.5 Creedmoor - 140gr Nosler Ballistic Tip handload. 35 yard shot, DRT. Bullet entered behind right shoulder and exited in front of left shoulder.
