Hey guys looking at these 2 bags. Anyone using both have any experiences? Looking for pros and cons.
I’m really trying to limit the amount of bags I carry to 1 or 2 at the most. Currently have a SAP run n gun that I really like.
I also just got a SAP solo sack, but I’m not super convinced with it and might return it for either the waxed canvas or gecko 2.
Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

ETA: is the fill in the waxed canvas gamechanger the same as the gen 2 gamechanger with the straps on it?

I have or previously had all those apart from the Gecko 2. I'd pick the waxed canvas game changer as my first choice, especially as a "one bag" option.

Fill in the waxed canvas game changer is the same as the other standard game changers, but the pliability of the fabric makes it behave differently. A lot more supple.

Never heard of the gecko 2 before this thread but first look at their website it's a pretty blatant knockoff of the game changer.

Funny thing is it seems as though they've got some good ideas with the material they're using and the fill has me intrigued but I just find it lazy that they didn't get a little more creative and come up with a shape that wasn't so damn close to the game changer.

Full disclosure I'm running a waxed game changer that I pulled off the table at the gunwerxs match. Been using that primarily lately, for me it's a bit more versatile than my comanche bag.

Yea I know what you mean, it looks pretty similar to the gamechanger, but that non slip material really has me interested in it. I’m just torn on trying that or the waxed canvas GC.

What stage have you shot that you think the non slip would actually give you an advantage?

Only one I can think of is one where we shot off the lower leg of a tank trap with no bipods allowed. Might have helped keep the bag from slipping down. My Comanche at the time worked fine by gripping the tank trap below the bag with my support hand to keep the bag from sliding down.

I shot 2 where I borrowed a fortune cookie with the arca plate so it was attached to my rifle that others struggled with.
1 was shooting off this fireplace candle decoration thing, not really even sure how to describe it, but it was slanted at like a 45 degree angle, maybe steeper. The other was shooting off a metal pipe suspended by a rope where the pipe could freely rotate on the rope.

I don’t know for sure if the gecko would help but I think the material might.

The elite fill in the gecko sucks. I hated it. Sticky stuff actually was a bitch when trying to run a barricade. Was hanging up coming on and off during move.

Wax canvas gc is the shit!!! Love it. Makes great rear bag too. Only bag you really need. The wax canvas is really flexible and it just flows right around obstacle. Very very stable. just got a pint size to try as well. I like it too, but the full size is my favorite by far of all them. And I've tried pretty much all of them. Udders, cookies, gen 2 game changer, and gecko 2.

The Elite fill is a like or hate. I LOVE my Elite fill Gecko II. I also like the tacky material, but obviously it's not for everyone.

It just doesn't feel near as stable to me as the gamechanger, cookie, or udder. Too rubbery feeling

I borrowed one at the first match practice day I attended, cleaned my first PRS barricade stage, and then later in the day hit a 24x12" plate at 820 yards off a standing barricade. I loved it and I bought one that day. To each his own.

Another vote for Gecko 2 with elite fill. I wasn’t so sure about getting the elite fill at first, but after talking with Mike from Black Branch I decided to go with that option. I’m really glad I did. I like the way the elite fill feels, much more so that other options I’ve used. It’s very pliable and molds to obstacles, but once I lay my rifle on it, it “firms” up and is very stable. I can get repeat hits at 1,000 standing shooting off the top of a 12 row seed planter. As far as the “sticky” material- it definitely helps. I’ve shot off of open car doors and even a windshield. It just sticks to the metal or glass. I’ve yet to see another bag that you can lay on the slope of a windshield and not slide down. This is useful to me (LE application) but may not be to you. I previously ran an Armageddon gamechanger, but sold it after using the Gecko 2.
