Rifle Scopes Geissele scope mounts

I have one on the way. It's probably going to be high. My bolt gun has an adjustable cheek piece though so it shouldn't be a big deal. I'll take some pictures once it gets here.

Considering no one seems to have the Spuhr SP-4001 in stock I may check out these mounts. I love my Geissele triggers so I am confident in their quality.

I now have 5 Geissele mounts: 4 scope mounts and 1 Trij MRO mount. All the mounts are paired with ARs, both large and small frame. As you might guess I really like the Geissele mounts, Very nicely machined, extremely precise interface with the rail. I have not noted any of the issues with "machining marks" reported elsewhere. I would not, however, recommend or use one on a bolt gun. At 1.54" above the rail it would place the scope way too high for my taste, YMMV, of course ...;)

Here's my DTA with my old f1 4-16 actar on it. The mount has a 20moa cant

Covert is as Covert does.

Plenty of good feedback on the scout site.

That covert looks sweet. How are you liking It? I been thinking about one,Did It take long to get use to It.NF scope makes a perfect match for that rifle.

I just saw that their lowest height is as you noted over 1.5". Thats too high for my needs. They also all appear to be cantilevered which is also a problem for most anything other then an AR.

I actually traded the 4-16 for a gen 2 razor 4.5-27. I love the razor. Yea it's a heavy pig, but for what I'm doing I love it. I love my Covert best rifle I've ever owned. Having said that, I've admittedly been thinking about getting an AXMC. You won't be disappointed with a DTA at all though!

They do have non-cantlever offerings but i agree they tend to lean towards the AR style kind of kit.

They look really sweet to me. I saw one company discounting them heavily. Don't know if they are selling all that well. They price I saw was $350(normal), sale was $250 ish, just like Nightforce unimounts.

Primary Arms was selling off a bunch of discontinued models at some pretty nice discounts; that's where I picked up my last two. I'm guessing the rest of the line is doing just fine...;)

^^ see my post three above yours...;)

FYI: I just learned White Oak teamed up with Geissele to offer some lower height mounts targeted to service rifle comps. See WOA's website for details.
As to why most of their mounts are "AR height" keep in mind these mounts were originally developed at the request of a certain .mil customer for use on their M4 (HK416?) and SR25/M110 pattern rifles.

Theres no doubt that Geissele makes great stuff. Actually, that's the only triggers I've used in my personal AR builds and I have no reason to use anything else. That said, I'd never pay $350 for one of their mounts as long as LaRue, and companies like it, are producing the high quality and MUCH cheaper components that they are. After all, it's not even a precision bolt gun mount, it's for an AR. Not even if it has a pretty brown paint job. Lol
