Geissele Super Duty Rifle

I’m not in the market for another AR at this time, but if I was... the super duty is what I’d buy. Stand up company, stand up products, and stand up service. I would not hesitate to capitalize on their BF sale.

Me too man. That price for this rifle is just calling to me to buy it. I’ve been eyeing uppers from all over from like CLE, WOA, PRI, Larue with all these sales. Looking for the best deal. Tough to decide. The Larue upper kit is nice cause it comes with the trigger and butt stock all for like $800. But now this Geissele...for that price is very tempting. I’ve been trying to Google the shit out of this gun but there are no firsthand reviews of tests at all. No accuracy reports but it’s Geissele, so it’s got to be GTG. My only reservation is that it’s got a chrome lined barrel. I don’t know if I’m gonna get the sub MOA accuracy that I’m looking for with 75s and 77s that I would with the others.

It's a button rifled barrel not a CHF. Regardless it's a nice deal w/ the included SSA-E trigger.

Picked up the 10.3 upper. See if a 10” upper is everything everyone says it is.

Thinking about one of these to go with it

I have the 14.5" version of the URGI-well made and the DD barrel is very accurate compared to my 14.5" BCM BFH and non-BFH barrels. I have it on a Colt lower and Aimpoint M5 up top and it's a sweet rig. Muzzle device is a ringer though :)

I cant decide on which rifle, Super duty vs duty. The SD has the better accessories and the barrel is CHF for longevity but in theory, the nitride barrel on the duty should be more accurate than the CL barrel of the SD.

I think the Super Duty, for all the other upgrades. I doubt the accuracy difference will be noticeable and if I were looking for a really accurate AR I'd go with someone like JP or CLE.

I've been waiting for these rifles to come out since they announced them earlier this year. I jumped on a DDC super duty. With the sale it's a great price. The duty rifle for $850 during the sale is a great deal too. Can't wait to test it out! Think I'm gonna go with a razor gen 2 for it.

As for no reviews being out for them, it's because they released them with this sale, so these being bought during the sale are the first ones shipped to commercial market. No idea if they sent any out ahead of time for youtubers and such to review, but I haven't seen a review anywhere yet.

does anyone know what trigger there is in the rifle? it looks like a national match. or is it a custom one made for the rifle ?

As far as I know there is a "Super Duty Complete Upper" with a Geissele 11.5" CHF barrel and there is a "URGI", which is the USASOC 10.5" or 14.5" Daniel Defense CHF barrel. There is not a "Super Duty URGI" that I know of. Which one did you already receive?

I looked at a couple of items and didn't see anything about shipping times on the product pages. I put an item in their shopping cart and began the checkout process and there it said new orders will be shipped in 3-5 business days and that new orders placed at full retail prices after the black friday sale will take priority over orders that were placed during the black friday sale. So it might be longer than 8 weeks total before the orders that were placed during black friday. Notice that in the video he says the delay will be because his shipping department is so small and not because they will be prioritizing the full price sales over the ones placed during his black friday sale. The shipping notice when I placed my orders during black friday said because of the amount of orders they were expecting and not that you will be placed last in their order queue.

Not good customer service in my opion.

Do you know for a fact new full price orders are shipping ahead of Black Friday orders or just going by the 3-5 days statement? Just curious.

Right-I gathered that. I'm just wondering if they caught up with Black Friday sales and are now shipping new orders quicker or if they are putting new orders ahead of Black Friday orders-which I would find hard to believe.
