Is this worth anything?
Asking for a friend.
Truly.
German Mauser long gun, bolt action. Authentic WW II, sniper rifle. It's an authentic weapon with the Nz..i emblem on the barrel, Birdseye maple.

You might also check around to see if you can find a couple forums dedicated to folks that collect Mausers or WWII rifles, they might be the ticket to a higher sale price.

A couple things you'll want to check is what condition the bore is in, how is the condition of the glass in the scope.

Also you'll want to check if that scope is actually the one issued with the rifle or not.
The same goes for the scope mount, is that the actual issued mount or a different one.

There is often a big difference in price between an actual complete original issued serial number matched set from WWII and then essentially a period correct "clone" or build up version.
