You're in the same boat as Zatchmo above, who is sort of in-between sizes. Therefore, 'll tell you what I told him: I used to have a rifle that was exactly 44" OAL and it was a very snug (a little tight) fit in a Tac Ops SMALL/SHORT DB. The next size up is the LARGE/LONG, which will be about five inches longer than perfect (5" extra length instead of 1.0"), but it will work fine. The obvious but good news is that the extra length will let you use the DB to carry longer rifles.

So your choice is either SMALL/SHORT size that will probably be a little tight, or a LARGE/LONG size with some extra room inside. Just know that the extra room will allow the rifle to slide back & forth inside you don't use the tie-downs. Tac Ops Drag Bag sizing is as follows:

SMALL/SHORT DBs fit OAL TO 43.0"
LONG/LARGE DBs' fit OAL TO 50.0"
XL DBs' fit OAL TO 62.0"

I appreciate your flexibility in color & pattern choice for your LARGE/LONG DB, in the interest of helping me gauge what colors & patterns Mike should sew I request that you please specify OD Green, Ranger Green, Coyote Brown, MultiCam, MultiCam Black, or DigiCam. If you don't specify a color or pattern, there may not be any LARGE/LONG DBs' left for you to purchase later, TIA.

As I said to Timmeh6mm, you need to measure the the OAL (Overall Length), as the various shooting platforms and chassis' available today make barrel length a poor method to determine what size case/drag bag someone needs.

Tac Ops "SHORT" DBs' fit up to 43.0" OAL, "LONG" DBs' fit up to 50.0" OAL, and "XL" DBs' fit up to 62.0" OAL.

Please determine the OAL of your rifle(s), then edit your post to reflect what size MultiCam Black DB you want. This will help me figure-out what Mike will need to sew, and I'll post a DB count post in this thread before I open the actual Group Buy.

If your rifle's OAL is 51.0", a LARGE/LONG DB is probably just fit (it might be a bit snug it). I have an X-Ray 66 with an OAL of 49.0". It fits with about 1.0" of wiggle room. The next size of is the XL (OAL up to 62.0"), but not only is that DB a lot more expensive, but I think it would be too big. Please confirm whether you want a LARGE/LONG or XL in OD Green or Ranger Green.

I’m sorry I’m going to have to withdraw my name. I’m kinda in joes boat, my rifle is 52.5 I’m to long for for the long and I think the xl will be to big.

When will the final count be tallied and the group buy closed? I put in for a couple of the speculative patterns, but if we don't get enough orders for them to get made, I'd like to switch to one of the already available colors/patterns.

Also, can we request the drag bags be made without the large tacops name sewed in, or at least have a smaller or more incognito logo? The tacops brand is awesome and all, but such a prominent and visible logo makes me feel like I'm hauling a billboard ad sometimes. 😏

Roger that Diablo, I'll put you down for two SMALL/SHORT Black. In the event we don't do Black, count on a pair of SMALL/SHORT MultiCams. At 34" suppressed you're going to have about about 8-9" of slop in there.

There are many photos of Tac Ops DBs' on the internet (I know, I've shot the nice, clear photos and have seen them posted by others all over the internet). Please go to post #111 in this thread where I've posted lots of photos of a SMALL/SHORT MultiCam DB along with features description.

The various shooting platforms and chassis' available today make barrel length a poor method to determine what size case/drag bag someone needs. For the best fit, the OAL (Overall Length) MUST be measured.

"SMALL/SHORT" DBs' fit up to 43.0" OAL
"LARGE/LONG" DBs' fit up to 50.0" OAL
"XL" DBs' fit up to 62.0" OAL

Roger that. So far I haven't seen alot of requests for KH & RBS so you're probably looking at DigiCam. I'm still going through this clusterfuck Mike handed me and will mark you down for two Krypteks'. If Rhodesian gets more more requests than I switch you over. Maybe by the time I finish reviewing the requests today one or the other will have enough request to warrant a roll of fabric. But realistically, I think DigiCam is in your future for this Group Buy.

I wonder if you might be able to automate the start of one of these epic group buy things by using something like survey monkey to gather all the stuff and dump it to you on a spreadsheet that you can then make up the semi-final order from?

No problem Ken. I'll put you down for 2 LARGE WOODLAND CAMO 1 VIETNAM TIGER STRIPE. HOWEVER, YOU'RE AWARE THAT BOTH OF THOSE PATTERNS ARE SUBJECT TO GETTING 10 OR MORE OF EACH PATTERN BEFORE MIKE WILL MAKE THE DBs', CORRECT?
