Getting a new barrel, what else to do at the same time?

I'm having a new barrel put on a rem 700. The action is going to get trued, barrel installed, and muzzle threaded locally. The reamer is the serengeti 30-06 from ptg and barrel is stainless bartlien. It's going in a hs precision 026 and I plan to bed it myself.

Anything else I should do at the same time? Never had a rifle built like this so I don't want to miss something when it's easy.

Ceracoating? The sun alone makes black metal too hot to handle where I live. Action is steel, the finish on it is in great condition, is it worth the money?

Cerakote is a very good and durable finish and worth the effort. I would seriously consider having you trigger replaced with a Timney. Once your stock is beddded, it will let you take full advantage of your barrel and action work.

Great choice on caliber, I'd send off to have it blue printed and trued if I were you. That way you can maximize the accuracy potential of the rifle....

Eta I didn't see that you were going to get it trued when I first read the post...

It's stronger than the piece of stamped metal that's attached to stock the trigger assembly, but mainly it looks way cooler. It may cause fitment issues with stock though so it may be more trouble than its worth if you don't need it.
