GettR Account

The Indians who are now the CEOs of Twitter, Google, and Microsoft have no appreciation of the concept of freedom of speech - it was never in their culture before they emigrated from that wonderful country. Oh, and if India is so nice, why the fuck did they want to come here?

Further, the "libertarians" in the USA who call themselves "conservatives" are totally on board with the argument that as private companies, big tech can censor whomever they want. These libertarians need to take the red pill.

It's a slippery slope having the govt tell private corps what they can and cannot do...

US Constitution- First Ammendment

"CONGRESS shall make no law..."

The Constitution sets limits on what government can do.

Using the gov't to coerce a company into doing something you think you want them to do right now is a slippery slope. I mean, what would you do if some rando posted 37 campaign signs on your front yard? Or, slapped a bunch of political stickers on your vehicle? I mean its your property, but you don't have the right to limit what other people say on it- right???

Agree with your comment on the First Amendment. At the same time, the Feds could regulate big tech as they do utilities - like one cannot be denied electricity or cell phone service because of their political views, right?
The problem is that conservatives and those being censored by twitter can’t seem to get their balls to drop. Yea they will go to Gettr but how many are closing their twitter accounts. I closed my personal account and my business account is about to follow.

If we could get everyone who is pissed at twitter to actually fight instead of just whine like little girls, we could tank twitter’s stock in a day. We could easily start twitter on the path of being the next myspace.

Make no mistake. Without “us” twitter’s business model cannot survive. They can never survive becoming relegated to a liberal/leftist echo chamber.

So, I have a GettR Account for 2022

Twitter is a disaster, but social media is a necessary evil,

It's mainly to advertise stuff from here

First thing I'm greeted with there is kneeling instructions. Sorry, but I believe our current VP is the expert on being on their knees, not you. ;)

I think most of them don't know about the the government protections they are getting and thus, think that they should be able to censor people. The red pill is the fact that these businesses are being protected under open platform and then censoring...They should not have it both ways.
